PostHeaderIcon Internet Safety for Kids and Teens

I informed about the dangers our children face in this crazy world of confusion. After all I grew up five special needs children as a single parent after my wife passed away. It was not until I read some articles about the dangers that threaten our children on the internet, I realized that I only saw the tip of the iceberg.

Safety education for children is important and should be on top of each parent to do list. Parents must take immediate steps to ensure the safety of our children not only on the Internet, but other life events also.

Here are some very scary statistics from law enforcement agencies:

* When the child enters a chat room and start a conversation with someone who has a 50% chance that the stranger with whom they are talking about is a pedophile who pretends to be a child.

* The child can have instant access to 1.8 million pornographic websites.

* Even if your child is not interested in porn sites is 25% chance that your child will still be exposed to pornography without notice when browsing the web.

* About 75% of our children will share personal information over the Internet that can cause them or their family members to be at risk.

* 33% of our children will be exposed to bullying, a serious threat on the Internet.

* 41% of the victims of bullying will not tell friends, relatives, teachers or accidents and will keep the pain and depression that occur to themselves, sometimes resulting in suicide (Bullycide is the new concept).

* Online predators targeting children 14 years and 77% of the time. 22% between 10 and 13 years.

Then I see that according to statistics on violent crime statistics from another source:

* 47 murders committed as a daily average!

* 257 as a daily average reported forced rapes committed!

* 1142 robbery reported as average daily committed themselves!

* 2364 reported aggravated assaults were committed to a daily average!

Like most of the statistics presented in the search for the above statistics are just a few years ago. Ask yourself if you think things are better or worse in recent years? I thought I’d say and I agree that things have deteriorated.

With all this in mind, we must find a way to provide safety training for children and teenagers. It is not an easy task.

A parent must assess at what stage of development of each child who is a tailor and education in relation to this level of understanding. There is a fine line on how much information to give a child who is dependent on the level of eight years and the information that you would make an operating system to a level lower than a year for 15 years.

One of the differences between rich families and poor families is that the wealthy families teach their children how to become rich. But there are ways to teach children how to do better with a checkbook. There are, of course, books and websites to help your child to create a business successful. One that comes to mind is “Rich Kid Smart Kid,” by Robert Kiyosaki. The cash flow famous board game for 101 children by the same author is definitely a good start.

Peak of interest in making money boy

Children can generate its own cash flow. It ‘s just a matter of teaching them the basics and then encourage them to try things. Before giving up, remember to show them some things. The most obvious is to show them the benefits of having an income. For example, you can buy their own clothes and toys, and food products. When you realize that they can pay for things themselves, their interest in making money to be peaked.

Show them where your money goes. In particular, show them the bills, and what every invoice to make your home. In addition, the food bill, and show how much food the family eats on a monthly basis. Although there are disputes of certain objects (eg, Brussels sprouts) should be on the list, and questions about why others (like pizza) is not on the menu more often, you can show why the pizza and fast others will not buy food as Often because of their costs compared to traditional foods.

Let them experiment with business

Once I showed them what money can buy, and where the money goes, give them a chance to experiment. There are several ways to do this, depending on how old the children are and what you have. There are many options for fruit juices and grass, even if they are not that bad to begin with. They will probably be able to make service-oriented companies, especially those that do not require much skill, carrying small loads, babysitting, running errands, weeding, some work on the farm, and, yes, the grass clippings. Some children are not even good service with a rent-a-kid, in which older adults just want someone to listen to them or help them with basic chores.

When they get their business off the floor, you can introduce the concept of advertising for them to expand their business, to get them new customers, the limit you think you can handle. The input will help, especially if they have a product they sell.

And do not forget to open a bank account specifically for children’s activities. This allows you to show him how banks work and get him used to the operation of a budget, both of these are obviously useful skills later. The bill will also teach the child about interests, and any charges that may be frustrating, especially if the bill is usually less than the minimum balance. In addition, when business is provisional, the account can continue so that the charging of interest, the interest is sufficient and the account may contribute to the college.

With the creation of a company, even if it does not last long, the child develops a financial IQ, you know where the money goes and comes, as to create it, and get an overview of the financial world. This insight will be invaluable later on, especially if the child decides to engage in business later.
